HAZLETON PARKS & RECREATION
ABOUT US
Hazleton Parks and Recreation has an equitable and exceptional parks and recreation system that connects people to each other, to enriching experiences, and to the natural world.
Parks & Playgrounds
The City of Hazleton has 17 parks and playgrounds spread out throughout the city limits.
There are parks to meet the needs of every person. If you are active, hit our basketball, tennis and pickleball courts. Meet your friends at one of our four softball fields or try a game of whiffle ball. If you just want a shelter to have a picnic, find one of our many covered pavilions. Let your children spend a little time at a playground while you read a book or talk with friends.
Do you have a big event coming up? City View Park might be the place for you. There is a stage with dance area, five covered and lighted pavilions, plenty of parking, restrooms, and Wi-Fi. We have an inclusive playground there too, for children of all-abilities and a walking path away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
To reserve any of our parks for special events including charity events, reunions, car shows, day camps, 5K runs, birthday parties, etc. fill out the SPECIAL EVENT APPLICATION.
